UGMail Security Policy

At UGMail, safeguarding user data and ensuring secure communication is central to our service. We use multiple layers of protection to defend against unauthorized access, spam, phishing, and malware—so your inbox stays safe and your organization remains compliant.

Phishing & Malware Protection

UGMail’s intelligent filtering system blocks the vast majority of spam, phishing attempts, and malicious content before they reach your inbox—stopping more than 99.9% of harmful messages.

Safe Link Protection

We scan links inside emails and warn you when a destination appears risky. This helps prevent credential theft, malware downloads, and other web-based attacks.

Proactive Attachment Alerts

UGMail alerts you before you open or download potentially dangerous attachments, reducing the risk of introducing threats into your environment.

Account Security

We continuously monitor for unusual sign-ins and unauthorized activity using multiple security signals. For users at higher risk, advanced protections are available to further harden accounts.

Confidential Mode

Send sensitive messages with expiration and disable options to forward, copy, download, or print—helping you keep confidential information under control.

Email Encryption

Messages are encrypted at rest and in transit within UGMail infrastructure. When communicating with external providers, we use TLS wherever supported or required by policy.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Strengthen account access with 2FA. Users can verify with one-time codes on trusted devices or with hardware security keys for an extra layer of protection at sign-in.
